The polishing disc has a central hole with which it is mounted on a shaft. The discs consists of layers of polishing sheets such as cotton discs which are impregnated with an abrasive material. The layers are stitched together over a complete inner circle (SK) and over short sections of circles at various dias. (TK1-TK3). The connections over the short sections are pulled apart due to the pressure which is exerted by the part (WS) being polished, while the disc is being worn down. USE/ADVANTAGE - Increased life of the disc, improved polishing action.
