PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of a dyeing soln. and to improve the stability by adding an org. solvent whose solubility in water at 20 deg.C is a specified value or below and an acid or a salt thereof to the dyeing soln. CONSTITUTION:A dyeing soln. for dyeing at least one of a primer layer and a photosensitive layer formed on a substrate after development is composed essentially of water, an org. solvent having <= 10% solubility in water at 20 deg.C, a dye and an inorg. or org. acid or a salt thereof. The org. solvent may be diisobutyl ketone, acetophenone, isophorone or diethyl succinate. The inorg. acid may be hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid or polyphosphoric acid. The org. acid may be formic acid, acetic acid, propionic acid, butyric acid or valeric acid. The dye may be a diphenylmethane or triphenylmethane dye. The contamination of the dyeing soln. and precipitation in the soln. are prevented without reducing dyeing density and the stability of the soln. can be improved. |
