One part of the specimen under test is fixed at the lower part of the load frame (1). The other part is arranged at a specimen clamping part (22) which is designed as a deformable element of a load cell (12), further elements (25) of which are fixed rigidly at the upper part of the load frame. The load cell is also deformable by a determined measurable amount. This deformation is greater about a multiple compared to that of the load frame. The load frame consists of two frame parts (2, 3) screwed together, in the form of two parallel connected springs of several bending beam similar elements (6) connected in series one behind the other with one sided clamping and intermediate slits.
