The plug and its housing are fitted each with a contact carrier with plug contacts in a row. Each contact row is secured by a comb-shaped latching member, whose tines protrude each behind a contact section of a contact spring. The comb-shaped latch has several lugs protruding to alternate sides. In the plugged condition these lugs snap into a slot of the contact carrier, into which protrudes the latching member. The plug contact carrier has locking ends, swivelling in the direction of the plug contact row. These ends include latching cams, protruding at right angles to the swivelling plane. In plugged state the cams engage behind protrusions of the plug housing. Pref., the lugs of the comb-shaped latching member have a latching surface inclined to the wall of the contact carrier. The protrusions of the comb-shaped member may have inserting slopes. |
