PURPOSE:To surely fix a glass pane to a window frame by laying the glass pane in a glass pane holding part in the window frame in which a meltable rope is fitted, then by feeding a current through the meltable rope so as to melt a cover layer thereof, and by cooling and solidifying the molten cover layer. CONSTITUTION:A meltable rope 5 in which an electric heating wire 51 is covered therearound with a cover layer made of thermoplastic resin, thermohardenable resin or the like is fitted in a recess groove formed in a flange 42 of a window frame 4. Next, a glass pane 6 is laid on the flange 42. The electric heating wire 51 which is exposed from the free end of the meltable rope 5 projected outward from the window frame 4 is connected to a power source 7. When a switch 8 is turned on so as to energize the rope 5, the cover layer is molten by a joule heat. Further, when the switch 8 is turned off so as to cool and solidify the molten resin in the cover layer, the glass pane 6 is fixed to the window frame by means of the resin filled in the recess groove. |
