PURPOSE:To suppress the erroneous detection of a movement vector without increasing the number of representative points by finding correlation between two pictures continued in point of time using the representative point, and correcting an incorrect correlation result by using the correlation result found by plural representative points. CONSTITUTION:Three correlation result signals with same deviation by different representative points are inputted to a correlation result correction circuit 105 by inputting a correlation result signal 404 to memory 101 and memory 102 delaying them for constant time. Respective correlation result signal is compared at the correlation result correction circuit 105, and when only the correlation result by one representative point is different from that by another representative point, the correlation result by that representative point is corrected as incorrect. Thereby, the correlation result corrected by the plural representative points is inputted to an accumulation adder 405 as a corrected correlation result signal 106, and a correct movement vector is outputted from an output terminal 407. |
