PURPOSE:To sufficiently suppress the production of inverting phenomenon even for VTRs for home use which require high density recording, by maximizing the delay time at the frequency corresponding to the black level of FM signals for playback system. CONSTITUTION:An FM signal transmission line of playback system for a video signal is provided with a phase shift circuit 11 in which almost maximum delay time can be given to the FM signal at the frequency of the FM signal corresponding near the black level of the video signal. For example, a signal voltage eR1 reproduced from a magnetic tape 102 with a playback head 103 is applied to a playback amplifier 5 for equalization and amplification to be a signal voltage eR1', which is applied to the phase shift circuit 11. The output signal eR2 of this phase shift circuit 11 is inputted to a limiter circuit 6 to be a signal eR2' in which the amplitude variance component in the playback signal is removed, and it is inputted to a phase compensation circuit 12 and a playback signal eR is obtained at an output terminal 13 via an FM demodulator 7, and de-emphasis circuit 8. |
