<p>PURPOSE:To quicken a fault relief by establishing a changeover path virtual path as soon as a changeover path retrieval by a control signal is implemented. CONSTITUTION:Upon the receipt of an interrupt notice about any of virtual paths 221 - 22i, 231 - 23k from bus monitor sections 241 - 24i, a control signal processing section 30 references connection link operating state latch means 31, 32 to retrieve non-use capacity to form a changeover path virtual path to at least one preceding host link. Moreover, the section 30 sends a control signal representing a fault link host side communication node as a final destination node so as to form the changeover path virtual path to a host side opposite communication node. Then as soon as the control signal is sent, a routing table of each communication node is revised to establish the changeover path virtual path. Thus, a fault is relieved at a high speed on the fault of the transmission network.</p> |
