The rod-shaped electro-stimulation probe for bladder or anal incontinent patients is joined to a pulse generator delivering variable stimulation pulses. A pressure sensor (3) registering the muscle contractions is joined to the probe (2). Control and/or regulation of the intensity of the pulses as regards amplitude and divation depends upon the measured values of the pressure sensor. The measured values are applied to the actual value input of a regulator. The stipulated value input of the latter is coupled to an adjuster. The output of the regulator is coupled to the pulse generator. ADVANTAGE - Optimum handling of patients including hardest cases, i.e. highest possible treatment intensity while ensuring protective and painless handling, reducing treatment period.
