Packaging for smoking articles with a re-sealable or tacky surface

A cuboid pack of smoking articles having two major faces, two side walls and two end walls, the pack including a sealed enclosure of a layer of barrier material around a charge of the smoking articles, openable edges of an access aperture being defined in the barrier material layer to extend from one end wall into major face of the pack and there being over the aperture and extending beyond all of the defined openable edges a cover layer having a permanently tacky surface engageable with the barrier material layer adjacent to the openable edges of the aperture whereby after opening of the aperture the enclosure may be resealed by re-engaging the permanently tacky surface with the barrier material layer adjacent to those edges.
