PURPOSE:To shorten a time till the surface temp. of a roller reaches a fixing necessary temp. by controlling a current to a heater from a time point that the ejection of a recording material from a fixing means is detected, according to a time and temp. set in advance, and stepwisely decreasing the surface temp. of a fixing roller. CONSTITUTION:This image forming device is provided with an ejection detecting means 24 detecting whether the recording material is ejected from the fixing means or not, and a first temp. control means 22 controlling the current to the heater 19 from the time point that the ejection of the recording material is detected by the ejection detecting means 24, according to the time and temp. set in advance, and stepwisely decreasing the surface temp. of the fixing roller 14. Thus, the difference of a standby temp. and a fixing temp. is made small, and the time till the surface temp. of the fixing roller at the time of requiring an image formation reaches the fixing necessary temp. can be shortened. |
