PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an initial charging method for a direct-current condenser furnished on the direct current side of an inverter for electric power regeneration to regenerate regenerating electric power from an electric rolling stock to an electric power system. SOLUTION: The direct-current condenser is charged by closing a switch 5 by a starting control circuit 52 in advance of driving the inverter 14 for electric power regeneration, a direct-current breaker 41 is closed when this charging is finished, and thereafter, regenerating motion of the inverter 14 for electric power regeneration is carried out. |
