<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which can give a film having a decreased number of coarse protrusions and improved in slip and abrasion resistance by adding a specified bathylitic calcium carbonate to a polyester. CONSTITUTION:A calcium compound (e.g. quick lime) is suspended in an alcohol (e.g. methanol) and water is added to the suspension to obtain a mixture composed of the compound suspended in a solvent mixture comprising the alcohol and water. This mixture is carbonated by feeding CO2 or a carbonate compound thereto to obtain a bathylitic calcium carbonate desirably satisfying the formula. 0.005-10wt.% said carbonate, optionally freed from coarse particles, is added to a polyester optionally containing a pigment, a UV absorber, a light stabilizer, an antioxidant, a light-screening agent, etc.</p> |
