PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization and light weight of the magnetic storage device by sharing a housing of the device partially with a housing of a motor. CONSTITUTION:The housing 30 of the device consists of base housings 30a and 30b, where bearing 32a and 32b for holding a rotor core 31 of a rotor 33 of a spindle motor are provided on an extension part 30c of the housing 30b. A deformation part 30d of the base housing 30a is projected inward for a part to be occupied by a seek motor in this housing. A rotor core 45 for supporting a rotor 30 is held by an extension part 30e formed by extending the deformation part 30d with a bearing 46. By this constitution, since the housing of the device and the housing of constitutive elements are shared with each other, the constitutive elements can be reduced. |
