PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which can give a high-expansion-ratio foam having fine and uniform cells and improved in anisotropy of strengths, elongation, etc., by mixing a polyolefin resin with a blowing agent and quinacridone. CONSTITUTION:A composition for a crosslinked polyolefin foam comprising 100 pts.wt. polyolefin, 1-30 pts.wt. blowing agent and 0.005-1.5 pts.wt. quinacridone. From the viewpoint of the properties of a foam, a mixture of polypropylene with polyethylene is desirable as the polyolefin resin. As the blowing agent, a compound which is liquid or solid at ordinary temperature and is decomposed or vaporized when heated to the melting point of the polyolefin used or above can be used. Examples of the compound include azodicarbonamide, dinitrosopentamethylenetetramine and hydrazodicarbonamide. |
