PURPOSE:To produce the title molding wherein the formation of voids during crosslinking by irradiation with ultraviolet rays is prevented by irradiating a molding made of a crystalline polyolefin with ultraviolet rays under pressure at a temperature equal to or higher than the crystalline melting point of the polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:The purpose molding is obtained by irradiating a molding made of a crystalline polyolefin with ultraviolet rays under pressure at a temperature equal to or higher than the crystalline melting point of the polyolefin. As the polyolefins to be used, low-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, linear polyethylene, ultralow-density polyethylene, ultrahigh-density polyethylene, etc., are particularly desirable because of their crosslinking efficiency. The polyolefin is molded by itself or desirably in the form of a mixture thereof with a photosensitizer alone or together with a crosslinking aid by various molding means. |
