<p>PURPOSE:To produce a high resolution and switch the resolution at low cost by driving optical dot elements a plurality of times in accordance with an image data with respect to the reciprocating motion of an exposure head so that the optical dot elements of the exposure head expose a photosensitive medium with a plurality of dots so as to form an image. CONSTITUTION:An exposure head 12 is reciprocated and one optical dot element 120 can be located in a position of a plurality of printing dots in the direction of string on a photosensitive medium 10, so that an exposure of the plurality of dots will be possible by one optical dot element 120. Accordingly, even if all of the optical dot elements 120 provided on the exposure head 12 is not of good quality and elements having some defective ones are used, a necessary number of dots can be exposed on the photosensitive medium 10. On the contrary, even if the optical dot elements of the exposure head 12 are the ones thinned out below the number of dots necessary for the exposure, the necessary number of dots can be exposed on the photosensitive medium at low cost. Also, the resolution can be switched by changing the amplitude of the reciprocating motion and the number of drives during the reciprocating motion.</p> |
