PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device using a substrate having a glass layer in which the substrate is made difficult to be broken with providing the optical device with flexibility.SOLUTION: An optical device 10 is, for example, a light emission device or a photoelectric conversion device, and includes a substrate 100 and an optical function part 140. The substrate 100 has a glass layer having a thickness of 300 μm or less. The optical function part 140 is formed on a first surface 102 of the substrate 100, and has a first electrode 110, a second electrode 130 and an organic layer 120. The organic layer 120 is located between the first electrode 110 and the second electrode 130. At least a part of an end face 106 of the glass layer of the substrate 100 has an area which is inclined with respect to the first surface 102 and provided at at least a part thereof in a thickness direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
