PURPOSE:To readily obtain a superfine fiber nonwoven fabric without any problems in working environment, waste liquor treatment, safety, etc., by carrying out conjugate spinning of a polyester and a specific polyalkylene oxide-based high-molecular weight compound, then removing the aforementioned high- molecular weight compound and using the resultant fiber. CONSTITUTION:Conjugate spinning of (A) a polyester, polyamide or polyacrylonitrile and (B) a high-molecular weight compound, prepared by reacting (i) a polyalkylene oxide compound obtained by subjecting a compound (e.g. ethylene glycol) having 2 active hydrogen groups to addition polymerization with an ethylene oxide-containing alkylene oxide with (ii) a polyfunctional carboxylic acid, anhydride thereof and a lower alkyl ester or diisocyanate and having >=10000 weight-average molecular weight is carried out in a mixed or divided state and the component (B) is then normally dissolved and removed with water. Fiber obtained as described above is subsequently used to provide the objective product. |
