PURPOSE:To change a display content by providing a dimmer sheet which is switched to a transparent state and a scattered state in accordance with the impression state of a voltage in front of a display panel. CONSTITUTION:The dimmer sheets 91-98 are arranged on characters such as 'Welcome' in the display panel 4. Transparent polymer where the grain-like liquid crystal of light scattering liquid crystal complex is dimmer is sandwiched between two transparent sheets and they are used for the sheets 91-98. When an electric field is impressed between the transparent electrodes, a refractive index in grain-like liquid crystal becomes equal to that of polymer and light passes through them without scatter. The refractive index of the grain-like liquid crystal differs from the refractive index of polymer and it scatters in a state where the electric field is not impressed. Thus, a change is given to the display state of the display content 3 and the attention of a user can be attracted. |
