In a clutch (10) with a stationary electromagnet (46) to couple an armature (56) to a rotor (12), the rotor has inner and outer cylindrical portions (14, 24) connected at one end by an annular clutch portion (16) with inner and outer arcuate slots (18, 22) which extend through the clutch portion (16) from radial locations at the clutching surface (60) to closer radial locations on the other side of the portion (16). The portion (24) may have on its outer surface either a poly V groove (42), or a V groove (472), or gear teeth (166). |
