A novel 1,4-thiazine derivative of general formula (I) and a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, useful as a cardiotonic, formula (I), wherein R1 and R2 represent each hydrogen or lower alkyl; and R3 represents -E-(CR'R")n-z wherein E represents: ( alpha ) or ( beta ), R represents hydrogen or lower alkyl, n represents an integer of 0 to 2, R' and R" represent each hydrogen or lower alkyl, Z represents hydrogen, optionally trifluoromethylated phenyl, pyridyl or ( psi ), wherein A represents -CO- or -CHOH-, and X and Y represent each independently hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, halogen, nitro, cyano, amino or phenyl, or alternatively X and Y are combined with each other to form methylenedioxy. |
