<p>PURPOSE:To exactly position a sheet between carrying rollers for carrying sheets orthogonally and carry the sheet by constituting a sheet carrying-in means with a rotatable roller member and a roller member for pushing out the rear section of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A sheet carrying means comprises a rotatable roller member 35 and a roller member 39 pushing out the rear end of a sheet. The outer periph eral section of the roller 35 comprises a high friction member made of rubber or the like, and the roller member 39 comprises low friction member made of metal or the like, and a part of the roller member 39 is notched, and the notch section is provided with a protrusion section 39a. When a sheet S abuts on the nip section between both rollers 35 and 39, the roller 35 is rotated, and the sheet S is carried due to the friction difference between the outer peripheries of both rollers 35 and 39, and the roller 35 stops when the rear end of the sheet S leaves the roller. In the next step, the roller 39 is rotated to push the rear section of the sheet S by the protrusion section 39a for exactly position the sheet S. The sheet S is carried by the abut of a pair of carrying rollers 16 and 17 which are located in the direction orthogonally crossing the rollers 35 and 39 respectively. Driving of the rollers 35, 39 is changed over by a clutch.</p> |
