PURPOSE:To enable the preparation of a high-quality dried laver sheet having adequate and uniform water-content, by controlling the drying temperature in consideration of the water-content of the laver sheet in addition to the conventional drying temperature control technique. CONSTITUTION:The drying chamber 4 is furnished with the burners 7, 8 to supply hot air, the temperature sensors 11, 12 to detect the temperature in the chamber 4, and the temperature controller 10 to operate the burners 7, 8 according to the temperature detected by the sensors 11, 12 and to control the drying temperature in the chamber 4 within a preset temperature range. The water content of the laver sheet is detected by the water-content sensor 17 during or after drying or after peeling the laver sheet from a laver screen. When the water-content detected by the sensor 17 is lower than a preset level, the burning of the burners 7, 8 is stopped or diminished irrespective of the temperature indicated by the temperature controller 10, and when the water- content is higher than the preset level, the burners 7, 8 are ignited or intensified irrespective of the temperature indicated by the temperature controller 10. |
