PURPOSE:To smooth the engagement and to hold a stable engaging function by forming a recessed thin engaging part by projecting it to the opposite side of a monofilament, bending both end parts of the engaging part so that its recessed part becomes the outside, and forming the engaging part of an element. CONSTITUTION:As for an engaging part 2a, by a stamping tool 13a provided with die teeth 11a, 12a, a recessed thin part is formed by projecting it from the peripheral surface of the opposite side of a monofilament 1a, and it is wound round and bent to a mandrel 14 so that the recessed part becomes the outside. Accordingly, the engaging part 2a projects to the opposite side 4a of the monofilament 1a, is bent exactly in both end parts, and also, a gap between the upper leg part 7a and the lower leg part 8a being near the engaging part due to compression of the bent inside part is formed widely, and it is bent so that the engagement of the left and the right opposed elements can be executed smoothly. In such a way, on both sides of the monofilament 1a, the engaging part 2a which rises flatly and whose width is wide is formed, therefore, the engagement of the element becomes firm. |
