The test routine is controlled so that, starting from a given number of parameters represented by control data, a basic decision element is formed followed by further decision elements. The decision elements are used to assemble parameters to make a test program in a specified way. The resulting test routine begins with the basic element and runs through all the others. Each element includes a desired-actual comparison of control data with actual data.
