A bait is made of a carrier substance with a fat component which has a melting point of 20-60 deg.C and at least one additive to stabilise the shape. The ratio of fat to additive is chosen to make the mixture workable as a paste which e.g. encloses the active agent completely in a deep drawn capsule. The fat component can be vegetable or animal but contains as bait preferably fishmeal.
