The invention provides 4(1H)quinolone derivatives of the formula I: <CHEM> wherein R represents an alkyl group containing up to 6 carbon atoms, R<1> represents an alkyl or alkenyl group containing up to 6 carbon atoms, R<2> and R<3> singly each represents hydrogen, halogen, methoxy or a trifluoromethyl group, with the proviso that at least one of R<2> and R<3> is hydrogen, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof and processes for their production. The compounds are useful for the treatment of cardiovascular and respiratory disorders. |
