The invention refers to a self-tightening clutch used, especially, on friction welding machines for taking over the friction moment and driving into a rotary motion the welding components. The clutch, according to this invention, consists of a carter (1) in which jaws are guided (2). The carter (1) is equipped with arbors (3) guiding springs (4). On the outside, over the carter (1) and the jaws (2) there is a housing (5) and a pressure disk (6) guided by bolts (7) and bushes (8).<IMAGE>
