<p>PURPOSE:To remove organisms completely by a method wherein the captioned apparatuses each in the form of a tube are provided in a sea-water passage in a sea-water utilizing plant and an electric current is applied on the apparatus so that organisms in the sea-water are anihilated by the electric current. CONSTITUTION:The organism removing apparatuses 2 each comprising a first tubular section 14 internally lined with an insulating lining 13 and a second tubular section 16 having a mesh-bucket 15 are provided in the sea-water passage in the sea-water utilizing plant. Further, A plurality of thin copper tubes 21 are supported by a copper tube plate 20 within the first tubular section of each of the apparatuses and the tube plate is connected to external power sources 24 through power source terminals 22 and 23. Sea-water introduced from an intake 1 flows into each of the apparatuses 12 and guided by the thin copper tubes 21 within the first tubular section 14 wherein the organisms in the sea-water are anihilated by the sea-water are anihilated by the electric current flowing through the tubes 21 and are removed by the mesh-bucket 15. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the inner walls of the tubes in the sea-water passage from being adhered with the organisms so that the performance of the sea-water utilizing plant is improved, the life of equipment in the plant is prolonged and the safety of the plant is improved.</p> |
