PURPOSE:To cheaply cover all the surfaces of the title backrest and to make rear space larger by forming a peculiar design on the rear surface thereof, by a method where both a concave backrest part on the front surface of a pad and recesses on the rear surface thereof are formed, and almost all the surface except a lower surface are covered with a bag-shaped skin material, and the skin material is stuck on the surfaces of the backrest part and the recesses. CONSTITUTION:The main body of the title backrest 1 is composed of a pad 2 consisting of polyuretane foam-formed product with a cushiony property, and all the surfaces thereof are covered with a bag-shaped skin material 3 having an opening at the lower end thereof. Side support parts 4 protruding forward are formed at both sides on the front surface of this backrest 1, and a concave part between them is made a backrest part 5. A pair of recesses 6, right and left, are also formed on the rear surface of the backrest 1. The skin material 3 is stuck on the pad 2 with a reactant type hot melt adhesive 7 with which both the backrest part 5 on the front surface of the pad 2 and the peripheral part thereof, and the recesses 6 on the rear surface of the pad 2 and the peripheral part thereof, are coated. |
