PURPOSE:To enable to inexpensively provide an animal cell culture carrier having the same cell adhesivity and proliferativity as those of conventional adhesive proteins by employing a cell culture carries comprising yolk membrane extracts. CONSTITUTION:Bird eggs with shells are cracked to take out yolk with membranes, and each of the yolk membranes is partially broken to flon out the york. When the liquid yolk is prepared in an industrial scale, yolk membranes remained on the filters of a strainer can be reading employed in a large amount. The yolk membranes are homogenized in a buffer solution such as a phosphate buffer solution as in an alkali aqueous solution such as caustic soda aqueous solution and the prepared suspension is centrifuged to separate a supernatant as a yolk membrane extract. The extract is charged to a culturing container and allowed to stand for adhering the extract of the yolk membranes to the inner surface of the culturing container. The solution is removed and the extract adhered to the inner surface of the container is dried with air to provide a cell culture container having the yolk membrane extract as a carrier. The carrier exhibits a cell-culturing effect substantially equal to these of conventional carriers and is inexpensive. |
