The invention relates to the field of the consultation and updating of a server centre, of minitel type, used in particular for the booking of seasonal accommodation means, capable of managing accesses by the users, the data files, especially the available lodgings, and programs, and statistics. The system according to the invention is characterised in that it includes a) a passive minitel server (1) charged solely with managing user accesses and statistics; b) a gateway (3) intended for managing, simultaneously, the various accesses and for ensuring compatible electronic and software linking, in both directions, between the minitel server (1) and a local server (4) intended for holding the data files and programs; c) an automatic dialling card (2) capable of calling up automatically the relevant provider through the real-time updating of the file of his own customers held in his terminal (6). <IMAGE>
