APPARATUS FOR INSTALLING VALVE-FILLER SACKS ON THE FILLERS OF A PACKING MACHINE

Side-fold valve-type sacks that are closed on the opposite sides by a closing seam that runs transversely to the long edges are installed on the filler(s) of a packing machine. The valve is provided beneath a closing seam in a long side wall and a spreading system which spreads the valve can pivot about a horizontal axis (13) such that the valve is lined up with the filler (5).
