<??>According to the invention, the supply circuit of the resistance element (7) comprises a device (11) for changing the electrical power provided to the said resistance element (7) so as to supply it, in a first so-called pre-moistening stage, with a low power in order to obtain a low flow rate of hot water and, in a second so-called infusion stage, with a higher power in order to obtain a large flow rate of hot water. The invention applies to "drip-type" coffee machines.
