System for automatic blocking of the flow which is applicable to disposable-type hypodermic syringes, characterized in that it consists of a cylindrical or conical sleeve with a central orifice via which the liquid flows, inserted permanently in the outlet from the container of the syringe and/or in the entry of the passage of the liquid in the needle. The aforesaid sleeves are characterized in that they consist of a sterile, inert absorbent substance which has the capacity to increase in volume upon entering into contact with the liquid so as progressively to block the passage orifice of the same after a certain time has elapsed. The aforesaid invention is also characterized by its simplicity, efficiency and cheapness of manufacture, being intended specifically for hindering infection produced by more than one use. <IMAGE>
