PURPOSE:To improve feed properties and to eliminate thermal deformation by providing an image receiving layer based on a dyeing polymer on a sheet like support and forming a sheet set to a specific range in Clark rigidity and the modulus of elasticity. CONSTITUTION:A surface film layer 2 based on a thermoplastic polymer material is formed on the surface of a core material layer 1 composed of paper and a rear film layer 3 based on a thermoplastic polymer material is laminated to the rear of the core material layer 1 to form a sheet like support layer 4. An image receiving layer 6 containing a dyeing polymer as a main component is formed on the surface film layer 2 through an adhesive layer 5. In this case, the adhesive layer 5 is not necessarily required. A back coating layer 7 is laminated to the rear of the rear film layer 3 to obtain a thermal transfer image receiving sheet. The obtained thermal transfer image receiving sheet is excellent in the sharpness and homogeneity of an image.
