FIRE-RESISTANT INSULATED WIRE

PURPOSE:To obtain an insulated wire excellent in fire-resistant property as well as waterproof property and generating no halogen series gas in case of burning, by constituting an insulating material of an internal layer where polyolefine and a metal hydroxide are mixed with each other at a specific ratio and an external layer where the polyolefine, the metal hydroxide and a phosphorus series additive agent are mixed with each other at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:An insulating material is constituted of two layers of an internal layer (a) where 50-150 weight part of a metal hydroxide is mixed with 100 weight part of polyolefine and an external layer (b) where 50-300 weight part of the metal hydroxide and further 0.5 or more weight part of a phosphorous series additive agent are mixed with 100 weight part of the polyolefine. The ratio of insulating material thickness expressed by b/a is determined 0.05/0.95 to 0.5/0.5. An insulated wire having a high fire-resistant property as well as high waterproof property and generating no halogen series gas in case of burning is thereby obtained.
