A traction force measurement arrangement for a processing machine for circulating fibres (2) contains a force sensor (3) with flexural journals mounted rigidly on one side with the machine's frame and carrying a cantilever fibre deflector. The journal bending is a measure of the traction force. The journal is attached to the frame via a cylindrical casing (26) with axially acting clamos. The force sensor is mounted inside the casing and protrudes beyond the end of the casing with its end carrying the deflector. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g., for use with filaments, wires, glass fibres or narrow tapes. The technical specification for the journal mounting is kept as simple as possible and sensor variations can be accommodated.
