<p>This device for electrolytic chrome plating (rigid chrome plating) of walls, channels, springs and pistons of internal combustion engines is comprised of a system assuring slow rotary motion of a partially immersed piston in an electrolytic bath and semi-circular anodes, placed so as to assure electrolytic plating (electro-plating) of rigid chromium to channel walls. Advantages of this device is that superior quality chrome plating is achieved compared to other methods used, specifically, uniformity of the chromium coating, as well as economy of materials, time and electrical energy. The device is also outstanding in its ability to accept pistons of differing types and diameters.</p> |
