<p>PURPOSE:To make data available for printing without rearranging the data by providing at least one line memory for temporarily storing the printing data in which one bit is corresponding to the ON/OFF state of an active element for one pixel of a line head. CONSTITUTION:Printing data inputted from a page memory of a printer controller 11 are read by every bite, paralell-serial converted by an interface 12, and temporarily stored in either a memory block 37 or 38 per bit. Simultaneously, printing data that have been previously temporarily stored are high-speed output from the memory blocks 37, 38 by being controlled by a timing controller 17 on the basis of an address, and printing is carried out. When printing data to be transmitted to shift registers 311 - 31n are outputted from RAMs 351 - 35n in the memory block 37, the data are successively read from the address under the control of the timing controller 17 and transmitted to the shift register 311. Thus, printing data for a first common electrode 311 is formed.</p> |
