BINARY TONER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY

PURPOSE:To improve the flowability and aggregation resistance of a toner, to also improve the replenishability and shelf stability and to prevent the deterioration of the fixability by sticking polyolefin to the surface of the toner. CONSTITUTION:Polyoefin is stuck to the surface of a binary toner for a devel oper contg. at least a resin such as a styrene-acrylic copolymer and a colorant such as carbon black. Low mol. wt. polypropylene or low mol.wt. polyethylene is preferably used as the polyolefin. The toner preferably contains 50 cumulative vol.% particles of 7.0-9.0mum diameter, <=3wt.% particles of <=4mum diameter and <=1wt.% particles of >= 16 mum diameter.
