PURPOSE:To enjoy a stereoscopic picture with a conventional camera by making luminous fluxes from two different directions incident on an image pickup lens alternately and matching the phase with a vertical synchronizing signal so as to have only to connect a video signal output terminal of a camera and a video signal connection cord. CONSTITUTION:A luminous flux reflecting means 15 receiving a 1st luminous flux 21 of an object and reflecting and deflecting the luminous flux and an optical conversion means 30 transmitting a 2nd luminous flux 35 of the object from an optical axis direction of an image pickup lens 11 straightforward and reflecting and changing the direction of the 1st luminous flux 21 in the same direction as the optical axis direction of the image pickup lens 11 are provided to the adaptor. Moreover, control means 40-48 controlling the optical path conversion means 30 to switch the straightforward transmission of the 2nd luminous flux 35 and the reflection and the changed direction of the 1st luminous flux 21 alternately for each field in matching with the phase of a vertical synchronizing signal are provided. Thus, the image pickup adaptor 60 has only to be connected to a video signal output terminal 62a of the image pickup device 62 with a cord and set before the image pickup lens 11 of the image pickup device to pick up a stereoscopic picture. |
