PURPOSE:To release the holding with a handset and to restart talking by devising the telephone set such that the handset is brought into the holding state when a base unit holds the talking. CONSTITUTION:When a hold key 232 is depressed during talking from a base unit 2, a command signal CMND whose control code CTRL represents a hold request is generated and the signal CMND is sent to a handset 1. The handset 1 uses control signals TCTL, RCTL to mute a transmission circuit 110 and a reception circuit 120 and an LED 161 is lighted to set the holding mode. When a talk key 132 or a hold key 133 of the handset 1 is depressed, a command signal CMND whose control code CTRL represents release of holding is generated and the signal CMND is sent to the base unit 2 to release the holding of the handset 1. |
