PURPOSE: To obtain a card having a long lifetime and sufficient elasticity durable against an extremely bending stress by providing a card layer formed of a plastic material having high temperature stability, and a card layer formed of a thermoplastic elastomer. CONSTITUTION: The multilayer identification card comprises, for example, an opaque card core material 3 formed of a polycarbonate(PC) and having a print pattern, transparent TPU layers 2 as card layers arranged on both surfaces of the material 3, and transparent coating foils 1 as card layers formed of the PC. As a forming material of the layer 2, a thermoplastic polyurethane formed, for example, of a polyester or polyether as a base material is used. The foil 1 guarantees excellent high temperature stability and shape stability together with the material 3 provided to obtain impact resistance, compression resistance, scuff resistance and chemical resistance of the identification card. Meanwhile, the layer 2 gives high elasticity to the card even in the case of operating a reverse bending stress. |
