PURPOSE:To prevent resonance with the vibration of an engine and keep electric wave noises from leaking out, by embedding a plug cap formed tegether with ignition coils, in the space between two cam shafts supported by a cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:A spark plug 35 is screwed almost in the center of a cylinder head 13 located on the top of a cylinder block 30. The center electrode 35a of the spark plug 35 projects in a space 24 defined between a cam chamber 36 in which an intake cam shaft 18 in housed, and another cam chamber 37 in which an exhaust cam shaft 19 is housed. A primary coil 44 and a secondary coil 43 wound around a core 42 are housed in the largediameter portion of a plug cap 25 made of an insulator of high dielectric strength. One end of the secondary coil 43 is connected to the center electrode 35a by fitting a spring seat 45, a spring 47, an electric wave noise prevention resistor 48 and a base 49. |
