The invention relates to a device for cutting bones, this device improving the operating conditions. It consists of a chain guide (4) on which a chain slides. The latter consists of three basic links: a left-hand outer link (1'), a right-hand outer link (1), and a central link (2). In order to protect the area surrounding all these cutting instruments, we have provided our system with two protective plates (5) and (6).
