PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the starting time of a title device by introducing an enough amount of stock air into a rectification part including a double rectification tower upon start of the device. CONSTITUTION:Partial or whole valves 51b, 52b, 53b of starting circuits 51, 52, 53 are opened to take out gas in a lower tower 9 through pipe lines 51a, 52a, 53a into a gas system for feeding back the gas to an upper tower 15 or a main heat exchanger 6. Hereby, stock air to be introduced into the lower tower 9 is greatly increased. A sufficient amount of cold air can be produced by an expansion turbine 12 and the cold air can be transferred to a rectification part with use of plenty of stock air A. Accordingly, the rectification part can rapidly be cooled and the starting time of the air liquefaction separation device 50 can greatly be shortened.
