An anti-theft wheel clamp comprises first and second arm members (6, 18) laterally spaced to receive therebetween the width of a wheel (24), and a catch member (12) projecting from the first arm member (6) towards the second arm member (18), the second arm member (18) being movable relative to the first arm member (6) about a pivot (20) between inoperative and operative positions, the second arm member (18) being retained in its operative position by selectively releasable locking means, the arrangement being such that, with the second arm member (18) in its inoperative position, the clamp can be located on the wheel (24) with the catch member (12) engaging the inner rim of the wheel (24) and projecting inwardly of the rear well of the wheel (24), the second arm member (18) then being moved into its operative position extending transversely of the front of the wheel (24), and the locking means are actuated by a key (44). <IMAGE> |
