AIR BAG DEVICE

摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce noise generated in the expansion of an air bag and a gush of solids into a compartment respectively by fixedly attaching an inflator cover having a gas permeable hole to a mounting plate between an inflator and the air bag. CONSTITUTION:An air bag device is composed such that an air bag 13 is developed by gas gushed from an inflator 12 mounted to a mounting surface of a mounting plate 11 opposed to a passenger. Then, a cap-shaped inflator cover 14 covering the inflator 12 while having a collar 14a as a mounting fitting is attached. A gushed gas cleaning material 15 is disposed in a position opposed to a gas gushing hole 12A of the inflator 12 on the inner peripheral surface of the inflator cover 14. A through hole 14A for gushing gas is provided above the cleaning material 15. Thus, noises generated in the expansion of the air bag 13 and the gush of solids into a compartment are respectively reduced.
